Homer S. Hagenbuch, 95, formerly of RR1 Milton, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 14,
2012, at Holy Spirit Hospital, Select Specialty Unit, Camp Hill. Homer recently moved
from Elmcroft Assisted Living in Lewisburg to Elmcroft Assisted Living in Dillsburg.

He was born Nov. 4, 1916, in Turbot Township, a son of the late Clarence and Hannah
(Sechler) Hagenbuch. On March 22, 1939, he married the former Irene M. Faus, and
they celebrated 72 years of marriage before her passing on Aug. 7, 2011. Homer was a
veteran of World War II, serving in the Army in the tank corps. Homer was a farmer and
farmed until 1967 in the Limestoneville area and also for the Kepler Bros. Farm for
many years. He also retired as a grounds keeper from Bucknell University. He was an
active member of Trinity Oak Grove Lutheran Church and served on the cemetery board
for many years. Homer and his wife enjoyed square dancing, hosting card parties and
traveling across the country to visit family.

He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Mark O. and Linda Hagenbuch, of
Dillsburg, Robert H. and Marcia Hagenbuch, of Kansas City, Mo., and David C. and Niki
Hagenbuch, of Seward; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara C. and S. Thomas
Huffman Sr., of Dauphin; two sisters, Ellen Hagenbuch and Mary Taylor, both of Milton;
11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three
brothers, Charles H., Wilmer H. and Lee H. Hagenbuch, and one sister, Florence Robb.
Family and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Brooks Funeral
Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville. The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in
Trinity Oak Grove Lutheran Church, 130 Hagenbuch Loop, Danville, with the Rev.
Adrian J. Shearer and Pastor Butch Woolsey officiating. Burial will follow in the church
cemetery. The family will provide flowers and suggests contributions in Homer’s memory
be made to the church at 130 Hagenbuch Loop, Danville, PA 17821.
