Karen Barone (nee Parrinello), 50, of Brooklyn, New York passed away September 12, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Joseph and loving and devoted mother of Nikole and Joseph. She is the cherished daughter of Josephine and the late Salvatore Parrinello of Brooklyn and loving sister (and sister-in-law) of Robert & JoAnne, Dennis & Maureen, Sal & Lynn, Andrew Barone, and Pat & Angela Buro. A dear daughter-in-law of the late Antoinette and Nicola Barone. Karen is a proud aunt of Denise & Ryan, Michael & Patricia, Derek & Erica, Sal Jr., Michael, Nicholas & Stefanie, and Christopher.
Karen was adored by an overwhelming number of friends and peers she crossed paths with through her countless years of community service and educational work.
In her remembrance, a street on 15th Avenue, between 81st and 82nd streets in Brooklyn, has been named: “Karen Barone Way.”
Reposing at the Scarpaci Funeral Home, 1401 86th Street, Brooklyn until Thursday, 8:45 A.M. Mass of the Resurrection, St. Bernadette’s RC Church, 9:45 A.M. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Karen’s memory to the LUSTGARTEN FOUNDATION would be appreciated.
