Dorothy May Biddinger, 82, of Leola, passed away peacefully April 6, 2010, surrounded by the love of her family and good friends.
Dot was born in Bird-In-Hand to the late Amos and Esther Overly Bewley. She was married to Albert C. Biddinger for over 50 years. She is survived by her children, Ed C. Biddinger of Manheim and Jane L., wife of Kenton Wilt of New Holland, and her granddaughter, Amanda S. Wilt of Leola. She also is survived by her brothers, Charles, husband of Janet Bewley of FL, Lloyd, husband of Doris Bewley of Lancaster and Allen Bewley of Lititz; and sisters, Catherine Lytle of Columbia and Erna, wife of Robert Dillman of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Imhoff.
Dorothy was a member of the Bird-In-Hand United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cross stitching and babysitting for friends and family.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, she will be missed by all who knew her.
Friends may call on Friday, April 9th from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Bird-In-Hand United Methodist Church, 2620 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bird-In-Hand. A memorial service honoring Dorothy’s life will follow at 10:30 AM with Pastor Robert A. Bailey officiating. Interment in the Eby Cemtery, Upper Leacock Township.
